This project is an elementary school located on the Lafitte Greenway in New Orleans, LA. It explores how void spaces can provide opportunities to bring the outdoors in. These voids allow natural light to cut into the structure and reach points that would otherwise be inaccessible. They also create balconies and covered patios to allow for outdoor learning and encourage interaction with nature. This project was an opportunity to explore how two dimensional line drawings hold the potential to express the life and feel of a space.
